/ L6 R0 h* @6 P$ I0 e. t克拉克的第一部长篇小说是美国总统华盛顿的传记Aspire to the Heavens,但销路甚差。她决定改变写作方向，运用自己特殊的亲身经验、加上无限的想象力，改写悬疑推理小说：她的第二本小说Where Are the Children?使她从此确立了悬疑推理小说的发展之路，此书不但一举成名、还改编成电影，克拉克的写作风格也开始确立，如她在《消逝中的女人》里，运用了读者熟悉的经验（听广播节目、社会聚会、度假、恋爱、死亡）来做直接的文学沟通，使读者如临现场、随即可以进入作者所描绘的空间。由她的畅销作品改编而成的电影“情迷杀机”（You Me)，“多重杀机”（Around the Town),“前世恨未了”（Haven t We Met Before）都收到了不菲的票房。

这个作者的书不了解，但我看到说上世纪80年代，大陆似乎就引进过她的书。

她的书在同类女作家里算不错的，罗曼史情节不重，悬疑气氛还挺到位，不过的确看完就完。

作者成名于70年代，哪个时候她的作品悬疑性非常强，很多梗和转折影响了后面一代人，80年代兴起的浪漫推理很多都有她作品的影子。也因此在悬疑小说领域克拉克绝对是美国第一人，据说她作品销量达到了1亿多册，很多都改编成了电影。

# T8 @& G; D+ t$ N! U不过，她的作品相对现在人来看还是有点老套了，尤其是到了90年代后，无论欧美还是日系在重口味和逆转上一下子提升了几个高度，导致她的作品看起来普遍感觉很一般。所以90年代中后期之后，克拉克在美国的成绩也开始下滑。
